Hever Castle and Chartwell
Itinerary
Drive across the county of Kent to Chartwell, Winston Churchill’s beloved home. Visit the house which remains largely untouched from the days when Churchill lived there. Also visit the extensive gardens and Winston’s studio where many of his art works are on display. After a spot of lunch at Chartwell, we continue through the idyllic Kent countryside to Hever Castle, the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, Henry VIII’s second wife. The moated castle is a medieval gem and is a photographer’s delight. The gardens are equally outstanding throughout the year.

- 9:00 am - Meet your driver guide outside the cruise terminal
- 9:00 am - 10:00 am - Drive to Chartwell in Kent
- 10:00 am - 12:00 pm - Visit to Chartwell, the private home of Sir Winston Churchill.
- 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm - Free time for lunch at Chartwell or in the village of Westerham
- 1:30 pm - 1:45 pm - Short drive to Hever Castle
- 1:45 pm - 4:00 pm - Visit to Hever Castle
- 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm - Return to Greenwich or Tilbury Cruise Terminal
