John and Tanya in Canterbury

The south-east of England never fails to amaze me with its magnificent landscapes, its beautiful villages and its wealth of historic places, many of which have been in continuous use for centuries. Originally trained as a linguist, I started my career in tourism by working on cruise ships. After moving to Kent, I was very proud to receive the prestigious Blue Badge for tour guiding in the South-East of England and I am now secretary of the local tourist guide association. Although I am familiar with many parts of the country, my specialist area covers the counties of Kent, East and West Sussex and Surrey. I also love my work as a driver guide and the wonderful job satisfaction it brings. My aim is to make all my guests feel safe and relaxed, whilst driving through our lovely countryside, telling a few interesting facts, stories and anecdotes along the way.
If you come on one of my tours, I sincerely hope that you will be inspired by my great passion for the area and will leave our beautiful part of the country wanting to come back for more!

Like Tanya, I am also a linguist and have led larger group tours throughout Europe and the UK for over 30 years. On our private tours, I find it is a very different experience as we are able to treat our guests as individuals and get to know them on a much more personal level. With a 7-seater vehicle, it also means that we can visit some amazing places that are inaccessible to larger tour groups. As you can see from our website, our area is brimming with fascinating places and is steeped in history. There really is something here to appeal to all tastes and all ages. If you would like to combine a visit to Kent with somewhere further afield, no problem at all! It would be our greatest pleasure to take you anywhere in the UK or the nearby continent, which is literally on our doorstep.
